Speech from the 2025 NH State Conference (edited slightly for the newsletter by our secretary): Why did the NH team, all near strangers at the time, link arms and launch the NH State Affiliate to the Constitution Party? Because fighting for freedom and liberty runs in our veins – and in the veins of EVERY American. Back in 1620 the pilgrims were willing to sacrifice everything - risking their lives to come to a new land so they could start from nothing and give future generations the freedoms and liberties that God had endowed to them. This was not an overnight success. 66 days on the ship alone! 102 Pilgrims made the trip; half of them died over their first winter. They could have turned back and given up at any time, but their commitment to their vision of a better future and to each other changed history forever. Fast forward a tough 150 years give or take – and the founding fathers channeled their understanding of the need to stand up for what is right to change history yet again. Our founding fathers were the visionaries who dared to challenge the status quo, standing strong in their conviction to create a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. They, too, risked everything to sign the Declaration of Independence and draft the Constitution. Amazingly, they were able to come together and set a foundation for a nation built on liberty, justice, and the rule of law. The success of their commitment to the principles of limited government, individual rights, and personal responsibility serves as a powerful reminder that these values will stay consistent and true no matter how much time goes by. What does it take to become more like these strong and committed freedom fighters that came before us? There seems to be a few characteristics our American heroes share: A strong plan for a better future The drive to live with honesty and integrity An embracing of the importance of knowledge and ongoing education A commitment to liberty and individual freedoms Hard work towards building a strong sense of community and unity Now letʼs jump forward one more time, almost 250 years later. In 2020 we got a real wakeup call from tyranny. Friends and family lost their jobs, businesses, homes, and freedoms. Fear mongering, propaganda, and medical experimentation led to many deaths and followed with diseases affecting ones we love, even today. These historic days again led to a rising up of men and women of integrity all across the country. In a time when many of us felt hopeless as we watched the massive overreach of government, many people, like the people here today, had met our breaking point of staying silent and letting the wrong decisions be made for us. We started to get more politically and socially active and educated. We witnessed from the inside how the two political parties easily trade our freedoms so they can get more power. We worked with these established parties, a few of us even running for office on their behalf, only to see that there was sadly a lack of those historic freedom fighting characteristics mentioned above. They may have had a plan, but it was not built on integrity, honesty, or even the Constitutional base of our nation. I took my first Constitution class because I wanted to run for office and thought it would help me in decision making as a Representative. I realized that almost no one I spoke to at our meetings understood the Constitution. Even those that won their political races and swore an oath to the Constitution didnʼt know what they were swearing to, and it absolutely wasnʼt a requirement to even read it before taking your position as a Representative. This was very depressing to me. How can we expect them to follow something they donʼt even acknowledge or understand? So not too long into my political journey I realized I was politically homeless, and I did not align with any party. Those parties could talk a good game, but their actions told a different story. I was disgusted. I stumbled upon the Constitution Party doing internet research. I had no idea they existed even 3 years ago! The concept was pretty exciting. Their platform was great, full of common sense, truths, and integrity. It was exactly what I wished for, and it seemed to be the answer to what is going wrong with our country. Then I learned there was no State Party in NH. Most of the NH CP leaders had been on almost exactly the same path as I was. Attending some national calls to hear about the party was exciting, but there was nothing happening locally. We decided to have a Zoom call for the NH residents who were interested, and one call was all it took. We didnʼt really know each other, some of us had never met before… it felt to all of us that some divine intervention had brought the five of us together that day. Like George Washingtonʼs experience of multiple miracles that led to his success in our early history. I would like to thank God for bringing us all together and inspiring us to say “yes” to this challenge. From there we hit the ground running, dug in, and took action. Somehow, we had just the right people who had signed up for the undertaking. Combined we had the skills and drive to organize faster than anyone at the National level expected. We were affiliated in St. Louis, MO just 6 weeks after we joined that call. I wanted to share our story to inspire YOU to take action. You only need a very small group of people to come together and form an official committee to get your county (or state, for those subscribers from other areas!) to be more Constitutional! You donʼt have to know what youʼre doing at all times – this is a learning experience for sure, and we are always happy to help in whatever ways we can. John Adams famously said, “Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people.” I think you would agree that we have lost our general knowledge. We need to learn the Constitution and then teach our communities. It is our duty. We need to get Constitutional Candidates who understand the true purpose of government (not just the "lesser of two evils") to represent us. That is also our duty! THIS is the way we bring back American Greatness. Spreading the Constitution Party to every State and County would make this easy to do. Ordinary citizens coming together are the ones that make a profound impact on the course of history. By joining the CP - the Party of Integrity, Liberty, and Prosperity – you become part of a proud tradition of patriots who refuse to compromise on the values that make America great. Donʼt forget that you wonʼt be alone on this journey – together we can make it happen! Kristen Jackson, 1st Vice Chairman of the CP of NH, and Eastern Area Co-Chairman of the National Party. 1stvicechair@cpofnh.com or easternchair@constitutionparty.com

2024 saw so many exciting updates, it’s going to be hard to top them! But our main objective this year will be recruitment.
Our neighbors in Maine have started organizing the party there, we are just a month away from our third annual State Conference, we will be hosting the National Committee this spring, and we have more members and collaborators heading into year 3!!
There are a few plans in the works (this website was one of them!), and we hope to be having more regular events, action items, and resources for all!
Here’s to a bright and successful 2025!!

We're excited to share that the National Committee Meeting in NH was a success!! On Thursday we hosted a tour of the Statehouse in Concord - Visitor Center Director, Virginia Drew, gave us an excellent and informative welcome and a great time was had by all! On Friday we kicked off the National Committee Meeting and concluded most of our business - including voting in Indiana as our 23rd State Affiliate!! That evening, we dined with and heard a speech from Constitutional Scholar, Robert Brown about the "Harsh Realities of a Convention of States". Saturday was our issues conference - we heard about the Great Reset from Matthew Rhodes, Election Integrity from Daniel Richard, Inappropriate School Library Books from Betsy Harrington, School Boards/Public School overstep from Ann Marie Banfield, Homeschooling from Michelle Levell, alternative education from Michael King, and social media usage by Michelle McCartney. All the speakers engaged and motivated the National Committee members, and we had great feedback about the whole weekend! On Sunday we wrapped up with a tour to the Forefathers Monument in Plymouth, MA with NH Patriot Hub and the Jenney Interpretive Center. The sun came out right as we arrived at the monument. Very inspirational tour, followed by a lot of great discussion over lunch. It was truly an amazing weekend filled with educational speakers, prayer, networking, sharing ideas, and building friendships. Consider setting aside May 15/16th of 2026 and join us for the next nearby meeting to experience it for yourself!

We had such a great second year!!
In January, we hosted a convoy and film screening on the anniversary of January 6th & we attended “Let Freedom Ring” in Concord - an event dedicated to education on the constitution.
In February, we continued having preparedness meetings, and the State Officers attended presentations by Rev. Steven Craft and Dave Giordano.
March brought our 2nd Annual State Conference in which we saw the election of our new Chairman, Edmond Laplante and election of new 2nd Vice Chair, Ann Ward. We also had some of the CP Presidential Candidates on our Zoom Mtgs with us, testified for a few bills, and started the Merrimack County Meet-ups.
In April, most of the State Officers road-tripped to Salt Lake City, UT for the National Convention where we made our first vote for President, got elected to host the Spring 2025 NCM, and our Secretary was elected as National Secretary for a 4 year term!
In May we began a co-hosted summer movie series, began working with the National Party to start X Spaces, and participated in the Concord Memorial Day parade!
June saw 3 of our state officers filing to run for office, and began a process of gathering signatures and learning all the ins and outs of elections as a third party. We began working with the YDC Victims, and began working on a project - “The Freedom Walk” to benefit The Jenney Interpretive Center.
We continued our signature gathering work through July, only taking a break to host a Free and Equal Presidential Debate watch party!
In August, we were thrilled to host the first “Unthinkable” screening in NH, and got connected with NH Right to Life. We also hosted Bill Brown and Brenda Towne on an Election Integrity Zoom Event!
In September, we had the “Freedom Walk” event and helped raise almost $1800 for the Jenney’s Forefather Monument tours! A few of our Officers also attended Dan Richard’s Supreme Court case over election integrity, and attended the protest for our rights to free speech at Bow High School!
October was heavy on the pro-life issues with our Secretary attending both a faith leaders breakfast and the NH Right to Life banquet with Abby Johnson, and a fundraiser for our Presidential Candidate, Randall Terry. Though, we did also hold a private range day, attended a NH Committee of Safety recap on Dan Richard’s case, and a Statehouse gathering for Lou Gargulo on his election integrity activities.
November of course brought us the general elections, the CP of NH heading to North Carolina (and our Treasurer being accepted as National Treasurer), and a co-hosted “Friendsgiving” event!
Finally in December, we took a training on Pro-life legislation, reviewed LSRs for 2025, and hosted our first X Space on New Years Eve!
We are grateful for a great year, and looking forward to the next!!

All the CPNH State Officers packed up and drove to Raleigh, North Carolina last month to attend the Fall 2024 National Committee Meeting. Great connections were made and ideas hatched!
The first item of business was announcing the new National Executive Committee Officers pictured above (Left to right: Donna LaClair (NH) was appointed and officially accepted as Treasurer on 11/8, Glen Miller (UT) was elected Vice Chairman in Salt Lake City on 4/27, Justin Magill (PA) was elected Chairman on 4/27, and Megan Schmitt (NH) was elected Secretary on 4/27).
On day two of the meeting, an "issues conference" is held. Speeches about candidates' experiences running for office, how to grow your state parties, dealing with the deep state, the Howard Phillips Legacy Society, Leadership, etc., were given, and the NH crew brought back many pages of notes!
We also passed our first Resolution - you can find it on the “about” section of our website, or on the National website under “adopted resolutions”!

Two years ago, on a beautiful spring day in April, the CP of NH held their first State Conference. Five individuals had come together over the premise of something new - a constitutional alternative to the uniparty that could spark real change. With their Eastern Area Chairman in attendance, and a handful of individuals keen to learn more, they confirmed their State Officers, and Bylaws, and the inaugural Chairman, Lloyd LeBlanc, signed the pledge to the National Party ahead of affiliating. Just a week later, they headed to St. Louis, MO, and were voted in as the newest State Affiliate. Spending the next several months getting up and running, their next big task was to select Delegates to the National Convention and interview Presidential Nominees - they did just that and after their second State Conference, they set out on a road trip across the country to the Convention in Salt Lake City, UT! There, they participated in several committee meetings, got a crash course in Robert's Rules of Order, voted for the Presidential Candidate, and even wound up having two NH State Officers elected to National positions. Now, in 2025, with some further experience and a lot more knowledge under their belts, the 3rd Annual State Conference will be held - again, at the historic 1838 Hope in Christ Church in Chichester, NH. This time, in addition to the usual business of electing Officers, a new National Committee member, and amending the Bylaws, they have also opened it up as a regional informational meeting - hoping to attract interested parties from nearby states. Eastern Area Co-Chairman Kristen Jackson will speak about organizing and joining the Party as an affiliate. All are welcome to attend - the event is free of charge but there will be a donation box for anyone interested in helping spread the word that the CP of NH is here to stay! Refreshments will also be provided for all attendees.

At the National Committee Meeting on Saturday, April 27th, all new officers were voted in. Justin Magill (PA) will be the new National Chair, with Glen Miller (UT) acting as his Vice Chair. Megan Schmitt (NH) will be assuming the role of National Secretary, and Gerald Wistrand (MO), will be stepping in as National Treasurer.
We also voted on Regional Chairs and Co-Chairs. Western Region reelected Janine Hansen (NV) as Chair and Kirk Pearson (UT) as Co-Chair. Southern Region elected Kevin Hayes (NC) as Chair and Dan Phillips (GA) as Co-Chair. Midwest Region reelected Paul Venable (MO) as Chair and voted in Steven Sylvester (IL) as Co-Chair. Finally, in the Eastern Region, we elected Bob Goodrich (PA) as the new Eastern Regional Chair with Kristen Jackson (NH) as his Co-Chair.
Lastly, the next two National Committee meetings were discussed - the Fall 2024 Meeting will be taking place November 8th and 9th in Raleigh, NC. The 2025 Spring Meeting was voted in to be held in (drumroll please), our very own Granite State!! The CPNH team is thrilled to have a chance to host, and after the 37 hour drive home, have it mostly planned out already. We will need volunteers however, so if you are up for it, let us know! We also welcome any ideas you might have!
The CPNH Delegates and National Committee Members drove to Salt Lake City, Utah, last week to attend the National Presidential Nominating Convention and Committee Meeting and boy, do we have some exciting updates!!The first two days of the four-day convention were spent in meetings - reviewing state credentials, going over the rules of the convention, and looking at proposals to update the Party Platform. There were so many good issues raised, and it was great to be surrounded by such passionate and intelligent constitutionalists!
The NH crew attended every meeting to get as up to speed as possible with how they structure their conventions and how things are run. It was also a great crash course on Parliamentary Procedure/Robert's Rules of Order!
The second two days were full of voting, speeches, and musical performances by local groups. We heard from 7 of 8 Presidential Nominees, from Donna Brandenburg (MI State Vice Chair & Owner of Brandenburg News Network) about election integrity, Janine Hansen (Western Regional Chair and NV State Chair) about why we should be against an Article V Convention, Joel Skousen (UT member and Presidential Nominee) about the future of our country and how to recruit, Marshall Wilson (WV Candidate for Governor) on how to restore our Republic, and Ben McClintock (UT member) on how to restore our freedoms and be the WORST Global Citizen ever.
